Poison Type Master monotype Challenge!
Poison types have easily been one of the worst types in the Pokémon franchise for YEARS before the VI generation and Nintendo decision to make Pokémon a game more focused on the complex Player vs Player metagame, as it is evident with the improved and easier to master metagame training tools (EV training in Super Training, a bunch of item to simplify breeding) and the intoduction of the Fairy type, to finally balance out Dragons and give more "Omf" to Poison and Steel type.
Before this generation, however, Poison were supereffective ONLY against Grass types, an embarassingly large number of which are partial Poison types since the first generation so they still didn't have that much effect anyway, and were COMPLETELY walled by Steel types introduced just one generation later. Not to mention, Ground type moves like Earthquake and Dig, supereffective against Poison, are some of the most common and powerful moves learned by TMs. Things didn't look nice for our Toxic friends. Nope.
That's why I'm going to beat at the very least THREE games of the pre-gen 6 era as Poison monotypes challenges and earn the title of Poison Pokémon master, showing that they DO pack quite the punch and give them some love.
What can I say, always been a sucker for the underdogs.
RULES
I will play, at the very least, these THREE games in THIS order:
-Pokémon Platinum
-Pokémon HeartGold
-Pokémon White 2
My actual fighting party will be made of only Poison Types, or Pokémon that do evolve in Poison types, meaning that even if I will need other Pokémon as HM Users to advance in the story, I will not use them in battle. If all my Poison types faint, and another Pokémon is dragged in, I will either let it faint or reset the game to the last save point.
Healing items are allowed only OUTSIDE of battle.
The Game Style will be switched to SET and stay that way.
I will try to avoid repeating Pokémon as much as I can, and don't have the same Pokémon line in different games, or to at least not carry one all the way to the Hall of Fame but use it only until I reach an area with suitable replacement.
I would say that I want to use at least ONE Pure Poison type per team in each game, but Sinnoh doesn't have one so I'll apply this rule only to the second and third game.
